Born and raised in South Africa, Gerhard made his way to the United States in 2013 on a track and field scholarship. He walked on to the football team at the University of Arizona, where he became a dual-sport athlete. He proceeded to graduate with a bachelor’s of arts in December 2017 and proceeded to play professional football. Unfortunately, and injury ended his career prematurely. Gerhard found his way to Guild Mortgage Company to help people realize their dreams of owning a property and finding a place to call home.
